ADEME Investissement hoists the sails with NEOLINE for low-carbon maritime transport!

We are proud to support NEOLINE in the launch of its first sailing cargo ship alongside the CMA CGM group, Corsica Ferries and Louis Hardy SAS. NEOLINE Shipowner will finance the 1st Neoliner, 136 meters long and with a transport capacity of more than 5,000 tonnes of goods. This ship, powered by rigid sails (Solid Sail) from the French manufacturer Chantiers de l’Atlantique, aims for an 80% reduction in greenhouse gases compared to a conventional ro-ro ship! The first transport line operated will connect St-Nazaire to Baltimore (USA) and Halifax (Canada), via St-Pierre and Miquelon. This new virtuous transport proposal, which combines energy savings and optimization of transport times, will make it possible to respond to the challenges of decarbonization of shippers’ logistics chains.
